Human and Labor Impact

The process of making silk is very labor intensive, requiring many workers. This leads many silk industries to resort to child workers, and extremely underpaid workers. The Indian government is failing to protect the rights of hundreds of thousands of children who labor as virtual slaves in the country's silk industry. This small group is trying to save the children, and help send them to school by teaching their mothers how to form there own silk business.
